This is a great opportunity for a Fitter in the West Midlands commutable from Birmingham, Dudley, Stourbridge, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Worcester, Tamworth, Coventry, Nuneaton.
Paying approx £25,688 - £27,352 including shift allowance depending on experience; working for a highly successful and very established heavy engineering company
The successful Fitter be working for an employer who:
has an excellent reputation around the world for heavy engineering
have impressive machining and engineering facilities
offer turning, boring and 5 axis milling to supply fully finished components ready for installation
Hours of work are either 6am - 2pm Mon - Thu with 6am - midday on a Fri; or 2pm - 10pm Mon - Thu with midday - 6pm on a Friday.
This busy Fitter role will include performing bench fitting operations working to drawings / instructions and performing on-site fitting operations as required. You will need to ensure fitting operations are conducted in a safe manner and to quality requirements. You may need to supervise and instruct apprentices. You will also be responsible for completing paperwork and bookings.
As the successful Fitter you should be a time served / apprentice trained Bench Fitter. Knowledge of hydraulics would be advantageous. Experience of working on large components would be desirable as would working on site. Full UK driving licence required. FLT and overhead crane experience would be essential
