The Company

My client is a highly successful UKAS accredited calibration laboratory.
Covering a wide range of measurement parameters, they offer their clients a single source solution including in-house and onsite calibration.
Established over 50 years ago, as part of their planned expansion they are now looking for a senior sales engineer.

The Role

A unique position for a sales engineer with experience of selling calibration services.
You will target potential clients from a wide range of industries .
Your focus will be to build and expand the clients services with long term strategies.
The company's ambitious growth plans require a strategic approach, a hunter by nature, you should be used to working to high value targets.
The emphasis will be to target new clients to add to the existing customer base in addition to generating additional business from existing clients.

The Candidate

This is a unique role for a self-motivated Sales Engineer, an individual with a proven track record of selling calibration services who can hit the ground running.

This is a unique role for a self-motivated Sales Engineer, an individual with a desire to build their career within this niche market. Ideally, you will be from an engineering background - a background in Calibration would be highly advantageous. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be driven and possess a passion for succeeding, hitting the ground running quickly.

You will be well organised, driven and dedicated. This is a new business role, therefore strategy and approach to market will be key. Targeting the Automotive, Aerospace & other Engineering based companies who would require calibration services. 

Success Characteristics

Strong Engineering based background - Ideally Calibration based experience

Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills

Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels within a matrix management structure

Creative and critical thinker

Good technical skills with strong business acumen

Time management skills

Ability to prioritise and focus on a task to completion

Results focused

Motivated to travel and work independently and effectively within a multicultural environment
